Roca
Beginning life as Compañ ía Roca Radiadores, S.A. in 1917, Roca initially focused exclusively on the manufacture of cast iron radiators. However, the rapid market penetration of its products and a committed desire to expand led the firm into other business areas with the aim of diversifying its corporate activities.
Thus, the first cast iron boilers rolled off the production line in 1925, with the manufacture of cast iron bathtubs beginning four years later. In 1936, Roca entered the sanitary ware market and by 1954 was also manufacturing faucets. The company's entry into the ceramics sector took place in the 1980's with the setting up of Cerámicas del Foix, which became a subsidiary of the corporation.
Roca's international expansion program really began to take off in 1992, although the company's initial foray overseas had taken place in the 1970's with the opening of its first commercial subsidiaries in France and Portugal.
Today, Roca is a multinational corporation active in 135 markets and communicating in dozens of languages across the globe. As a world leader in the bathroom sector, Roca's products are renowned for their quality and stand out for their exceptional, ever-evolving design.
