APID Seminar with AHEC
APID partnered with AHEC - American Hardwood Export Councilto conduct a seminar on 26th September, 2010 at the Park Hyatt, Dubai. Speakers for the event were Criswell Davis, Sustainable Hardwood Design Consultant and Bob Sabistina, Hardwood Technical Consultant. The event was well attended and followed by dinner.
Criswell Davis, Sustainable Hardwood Design Consultant will provide in-depth information on the U.S. hardwood forest and its environmental credentials, as well as on the variety and commercial availability of American hardwood species and the potential they offer for design and end use in the Middle East. Bob Sabistina, Hardwood Technical Consultant will provide an introduction to the grading of American hardwood lumber according to the National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA) rules, and will also include a practical demo. The seminar is free of charge and all Architects, Interior designers and manufacturers using wood in the production of furniture, flooring and joinery are welcome to attend. However, spaces will be limited and AHEC would appreciate registrations in advance.
